Your 2025 Anti-Clutter Gift Guide
I’ve got Christmas music on blast and am so excited to share our top picks for this year’s Anti-Clutter Gift Guide. We’ve got ideas for kids, adults, friends and heck, even yourself.
I have been lucky enough to experience the creativity and talent from each of these businesses over the past several years, so take my word for it…anything from these local businesses would be a hit for those on your gift list. And remember, support local this holiday season. There are so many small businesses that are so deserving of your support!
CREATIVE COURSES + CLASSES:
Just one year ago, I was sharing a brand new business, Meet at Mahj, with you. In the past 12 months, Jaime and her team have opened a beautiful studio downtown Zionsville for open play, leagues and classes. Whether you pop in for a beautiful set or fun accessory from the retail space, purchase a class pack or join a league, you will be someone’s favorite gift giver this holiday season.
Every class that Create Art Studio offers is calling out to me. Collaging with Meghan Barich and a full year of Memory Making with Less is Maura are two upcoming offerings that the creative in your life would love to see under the tree.
Earlier this year, Luna and I (along with her Girl Scout Troop) had ourselves a time at Kicasso Sneaker Art Bar. The girls hand-painted keds sneakers and had such a blast. This would be a wonderful gift for the tween that you are struggling to buy for or a spectacular girl’s night out in the midst of a cold winter.
FOODIE GIFTS + GOODNESS:
Have you visited local N/A bottle shop, Orangily, yet? I connected with the owners, Kristin + Andrea, through the Indy Women Who Inspire podcast and they are so supportive and just plain, wonderful. A visit into their locations in Carmel and Broad Ripple will supply you with the perfect hostess gifts for the entire season. Not sure where to start on your non-alcoholic journey? The Espresso Phony Negroni is my personal favorite. You can also visit their holiday market on Saturday, December 13, to find your fav.
Earlier this year the most heavenly sourdough shop, The Baker’s House, opened downtown Zionsville and I am loving the idea of bringing a fresh loaf with some miniature olive oils as a hostess gift this season. The best part is, they wrap their loaves ready to gift.
Speaking of goodness opening in downtown Zionsville, Angelo’s Italian Market is set to open their doors soon. But their pasta making classes are already selling out. Imagine the surprise and delight of learning how to make your own spaghetti in January or February when the social calendar dries up.
Old Major Market also has such interesting classes throughout the year, like this Make Your Own Sausage class happening January 10 and February 7, 2026. What a tasty treat!
ACTIVE EXPERIENCES:
I have never laughed so hard while breaking a sweat as I have in the Beginner Hip Hop Dance Classes at Dance Fam. This adults-only dance studio opened this year and has so many offerings - and none of them come with expectations that you’ve danced previously. The owner, Jaelynn, has created the most supportive environment and I love going, laughing and walking away with some fun choreo to show my kids. :)
So many pickleball clubs have opened in the last few years and I am here. for. it. Pickleball is such a fun, social workout and I love the idea of joining a winter league. What a fun couples gift to give to someone in your circle! Check out 3rd Shot Pickleball, The Dink House and Picklr for passes + memberships.
RESTORATIVE + RELAXING:
If you haven’t experienced the magic of a 90-minute facial at Renova with my girl, Justice, are you even living?? Every few months I pay her a visit for the most relaxing 90 minutes of my life. She has such a gift and I know anyone on your list would likely agree.
After I turned 40, I thought it might be time to elevate my makeup routine (which had literally been the same since high school). So I treated myself to a makeup lesson at Sephora in Clay Terrace. This was such a fun/ny experience, as I learned new ways to apply product, how to contour (not for me) and ended up with a cart of some new-to-me products to add into my daily routine.
SOME OTHER FAVORITES:
If we’ve been friends for any amount of time, you know about my obsession with Nuuly. This is the perfect time of year to gift a month subscription to a stylish pal. With all of the sequins, glitter and leather your holiday wardrobe desires, this is all of the fun, and non of the long term commitment. Click here to get started.
A subscription that supports local is always a great idea in my book - consider Indy Maven or a Riot Revue Newsletter Subscription to enjoy for the next 12-months. And if you want the true luxe treatment…The Luxe Edit is just a click away. We would be delighted to help you!
While this one adds a small possession to your home, you will cherish it forever. Several years back, we gifted my parents a Storyworth subscription. Over the course of a year, they compiled 52 stories about their formative years and then Storyworth compiled them all into a timeless keepsake for generations to come. These books have become some of my most cherished items.
Gift guides full of consumables and experiences are so fun to create, but we realize not all of you are lucky enough to live locally where you can enjoy these services. So, if you are still looking for a little direction, we’ve put together a couple of gift guides here: Anti-Clutter and Kids. And of course, our trusty wrapping essentials too.
If you’re looking for more local experiences, you can get inspired by checking out years past here: 2024, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017.
I love hearing what ideas you have too - send me a note about your favorite local business offering a cool gift idea that is a bit out of the box (and doesn’t add clutter to the home). I’ll be sure to share!!
