Four. Years.

Goodness…four years have passed in the blink of an eye. Even through a twin pregnancy, maternity leave, and a pandemic, we have persevered and year five is bound to bring even bigger and brighter things. In fact, with some of the things we have in the works, I KNOW this is going to be our favorite year ever.

Four Years ago…just awaiting the moment on launching The Baer Minimalist.

As I reflect on the last four years, I think back to the moment of walking into my secure, full-time job in Spring 2017 and letting them know I was going to take a chance on myself and head down the path of entrepreneurship. They were incredible as they let me continue on in a part time capacity while I took time to get the foundation of my business set prior to launch.

From there, it was roughly two years of client sessions, product plans and organized bliss prior to finding out we were pregnant…and surprise…with twins. I felt lucky to work until 36 weeks along, at which point I found myself with two weeks to get ultra-organized in my own space. And I documented it all here.

With motherhood brought about an entirely new appreciation for everything that many of my clients go through on a daily basis. And I’m finally learning what all those little toys are (cue the legos, the hatchimals, the LOL Surprise Dolls). And if you followed along on Insta Stories this past weekend, you may have witnessed the aftermath of my kid’s dry erase art scribbled across seven throw pillows, our rug and stone fireplace. Not to mention the wooden coffee table, their Pottery Barn Anywhere chairs and a bit of hardwood flooring. In three, unattended minutes.

So I get it…I get how life gets out of control even when you are trying your best to stay on top of things. And as life throws curveballs, whether collective (like a pandemic), or those that feel that they are only affecting you, we are here.

The team is growing, we step in and help you knock things off your to-do list, whether you are by our side or you take that time to go do a bit of self-care.

We love what we do, I love leading this team and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for The Baer Minimalist. Thank you all for being such an important part of the success that we are celebrating.

Xx,
Maria, The Baer Minimalist

And now, for an evolution of projects (and photography) from the last four years. Can you tell I’m a sucker for a good pantry?
