DONATION RESOURCE // Give Back Box

Since circulating my "Where to Donate Just About Everything in Indianapolis" Guide, I've had so many people reach out with additional resources to add to the list - thank you, thank you! I'll have an updated version out soon with some great new additions. I'm looking at your RecycleForce!

For those that may not be local to Indianapolis, or those with a random assortment of goods, it may be difficult to make individual drop-offs at all sorts of different locations. I hear you and knew there had to be something out there to make this process easier.

Enter Give Back Box. Have you heard about this concept yet?

The gist is that you fill the cardboard boxes you receive from Amazon and Overstock (and a host of other partners) with clothing, shoes or jewelry that you would like to donate.

Once the box is full, you create a free shipping label on their website and drop your box at any USPS or UPS location. The receiving charities pitch in to cover the cost of shipping, so there is no financial obligation on your end.

Once your items are shipped, you can download a tax receipt through the site. They handle dispersing goods to tons of different charities and non-profits in need. Seriously, how amazing is that?

Not only are you helping countless charities, but you are also helping the environment in a major way by reusing your cardboard boxes. It's a win-win-win!
