Indy Women Creating Space // Meet Megan Mioduski
Several years ago, I was wrapping up my time volunteering with Women for Riley when I crossed paths with incoming member, Megan Mioduski. Her infectious smile and contagious hype-girl energy had me confident that she would do incredible things in the organization. And fast forward a few years, she is wrapping up a year serving as Women for Riley President.
Megan is a do-er, she dreams big and then gets to executing. She is an absolute joy to be around, and I can’t wait for you to meet her!
Who are you and what lights you up? Tell us your story, your mission, and what you’re building in Indy.
I’m currently serving as President of Women for Riley, a group of more than 100 incredible women who give their time, energy, and hearts to support kids and families at Riley Children’s Health. What truly lights me up is bringing people together to create moments of joy during some of life’s hardest seasons. Alongside an inspiring group of women, we are turning compassion into action. This year, we are building what we believe is the largest cancer center prom in the country! It is a night designed for families facing the unimaginable to step away from treatments, appointments, and stress, and simply be together. To laugh, to celebrate, and to feel like kids and families again! At the core of everything we’re building in Indianapolis is connection. When a hospital, a foundation, volunteers, and a community come together with intention, the impact is powerful. I feel incredibly lucky to have a front-row seat to that kind of goodness in action.
What values anchor the work you do?
One of the values that anchors everything I do is the belief that we all rise with the tide. I’m a hype girl through and through, and I’ve been that way since I was little. I genuinely believe in lifting people up, celebrating others, and helping them see what’s possible for themselves. To me, that’s not just a personality trait, it’s a way of leading. When people feel seen, supported, and encouraged, they show up differently. And when a group of people are all doing that for each other, it creates something really special. That’s the kind of environment I try to build in everything I do, especially within Women for Riley.
Give us a peek into your space! Share what makes a particular space in your home or workplace feel utterly and totally "YOU."
We’ve worked with Jenni Egger Designs for years, and she has truly helped create a space that feels completely “us.” Our home is colorful, layered, and inviting. It’s the kind of space where people can walk in and immediately feel comfortable.
Your go-to tip: What organization, mindset, or workflow trick has been a game-changer?
I’m a theater kid through and through, so I naturally live by a “yes, and” mindset. That idea of building on what’s in front of you instead of shutting it down has shaped how I approach just about everything. It’s been a huge driver of my growth mindset. Instead of getting stuck in perfection or overthinking, I lean into possibility. “Yes, and” keeps things moving, keeps ideas expanding, and creates space for something even better than you originally imagined.
Your Indy List: What 3 local businesses do you love, support, and want to shout from the rooftops?
Aspasia Coffee and Bake Shop My go-to spot for meetings. Cute, welcoming, and great coffee. They’ve been so gracious this year hosting all of our Women for Riley Prom meetings.
Pence Media Group A powerhouse, women-led company founded by Nicole Pence-Becker and built by a team of rockstars. Creative, collaborative, and experts at bringing stories to life.
Wandering Westfield Created by Michelle Baxter, a go-to North Indy guide for restaurants, things to do, and local finds. Such a fun, inspiring resource and always feels like a little adventure.
Anything else you'd love to share that captures your personality or your journey.
Someone once called me a "Chief Enjoyment Officer", and it stuck—because it really captures how I want to show up. I love creating energy, bringing people together, and most importantly, building people up. If someone walks away feeling more confident, included, or valued, that’s what matters most to me. Outside of that, my world revolves around my husband, our two daughters, and our new puppy—who all keep life full, fun, and just the right amount of chaotic.
Who are a few Indianapolis women who inspire you? We'd love to consider featuring them!
I just love Megan’s energy (and the fact that she is coined the Chief Enjoyment Officer). A title we could all aspire too.
